Regional Office for GPCB

The project consists of providing a regional office for GPCB (Gujarat Pollution Control Board), which is a state government watchdog to monitor and control the various environmental issues arising in the state of Gujarat. It is essentially an office building with parking facilites on ground and basement floors, office spaces like cabins, workstations, conference rooms, record rooms, etc on upper floors. The building has been designed as a model of environmental responsiveness by creating wide balconies on all four sides of the building, which will house various shrubs and plants to a) to cool the building during harsh summers, b) reduce the heat absorption, c) diffuse the natural light coming in the building, d) cool and purify the wind that comes into the building as part of cross-ventilation. Various other features like solar panels, rainwater harvesting, energy saving light fixtures, natural light etc are also employed in the project. Building typology is Institutional. Services offered in this project are Architecture design, Interior design. The Status of the project is Ongoing.
